Are books needed in the age of AI?

Everyone with a ChatGPT subscription can generate a whole book now. With a few prompts guiding what you want the book to be about. Is books now not worth the paper it is written on? Do we need to mark books written by AI with a label?

Why books still matters

Books written by AI has no experience, AI will make up anything but that does not make it true. Real books can and should encapsulate real humans and their experience.

AI has little touch with reality, as AI is trained on written words and input from humans, it is always behind. It can query credible sources (possibly books) to "ground" its responses.

The author has laid out a path, AI gives you "Choose Your Own Adventure" books. Nothing in AI moves you forward or decides how deep to go on each topic.

Authors has a agenda and path to follow, they spent all the time publishing a book and most want to see a specific change. AI has no force, it has little perception of time or goal setting, it does not live with any consequences.
